    3. Hi Peter, I thought I would have another look at the 1828 NSW Census. Although not all convicts who were in the colony are listed, I am wondering if he is listed under the name of William Hockingham. It notes that this man arrived on the Marquis of Hastings in 1828 and received a 7 year sentence. It gives the age of 21 whereas William Longman was stated to be 24 on arrival a few monthys earlier.. There was no convict with the name Hockingham to arrive in any part of the colony.
