I'm searching for a Mary Ann Cruse born approximately 1820-1822. I'm pretty sure she is not a convict but a native. The other Mary is Mary Shea. Living in NSW 1839, Patricks Plains District. Anyone have any information
Rob I would say that Mary Ann is probably the one who was born to John and Catherine about 1820 or 1821 and possibly baptised in 1824. Listed as Cruiss in the 1828 NSW Census and residing with William Fowler of Hunters Hill at that time. It appears as though two siblings were living at the Female Factory in 1828. Mary Shea arrived Free on the Magistrate that arrived in July 1838 Regards Lesley Uebel http://www.claimaconvict.net/index.html CLAIM A CONVICT email: [email protected] On 22/07/2011 9:46 AM, Rob Coughlan wrote: > I'm searching for a Mary Ann Cruse born approximately 1820-1822. Rob, there are three Mary Ann Cruse listings on Archives of Tasmania's "Colonial Tasmanian Families link". I know because I was researching a Cruse family in Tasmania, but the listed date of births are 1804, 1853 and 1856, so don't think any of these would be your Mary Ann Cruse.
