Hi Listers I have been searching for my grandfather William Henry Allen/Allan aka Henry Allen/Allan born sometime in the 1840's (according to his childrens' BC's in the Gympie area in the 1880's). His partner was Ellen Josephine formerly Disher, nee Cooper bapt 1845 Rathdrum Wicklow , Ireland, arrived in SA in 1850. I have no other info re William/Henry but wonder if he might have been a convict or a son of a convict. I have been searching since 1993 but can make no breakthrough. The childrens' BC's suggest a connection to Armidale NSW, but I have not been able to verify this. If there is someone out there with a William Henry Allen/Allan aka Henry Allen/Allan, who answers this description, would they please let me know? Cheers Judy
