Hi List, Just popped my nose around the door to announce that the support web page for AUS-NSW-WEST is growing. It is at http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~surreal/NSWW/ and now includes pages to bring together information on subjects such as photographers, properties (often hard to find!!), paddlesteamers etc as well as the usual items such as surnames under research. In particular, the names of properties on the Darling between Wentworth and Wilcannia in 1888, with distance by river (heaps further than by road today), have been added. Around that time my family loaded the house of my widowed great-grandmother onto a raft they built of Murray pine logs, and floated it from just below Pooncarie all the way down the river to Wentworth. They took it ashore there on the banks of the river, and she lived on in it for a number of years. Please feel free to drop by.
