Hi list, A big thank you as always to Rusheen for her wonderful "finds". I have not come across anything quite so detailed about the Australian Hotel. Are you going systematically or randomly through the Town and Country Journals? Am also enjoying your descriptions of daily life to the Central list. I have been looking at a similar thing in Geoffrey Blainey's B;lack Kettle and Full Moon, Daily Life ina Vanished Australia. As I come across things of interest I will post them as well. They are intersting, but less specific than your postings, which are great. Hope you can keep doing them. If anyone out there has a copy of "The Homestead" A Riverina Anthology by Peter Freeman, I believe there is a good photo of the Australian Hotel. I would love a scanned copy or would happily pay for copying. Jill
