Hi Alison I have to say from my experience, the best site is : www.google.com and just type in what you are after e.g. war records australia. It just seems to hit the spot every time. After that I'd nominate Tony Moore's suggestion: www.bdm.nsw.gov.au I have spent hours on this site putting in all sorts of different spellings of names and have managed to deduce family trees which I have then verified through newspaper death notices or sometimes paying a transcription agent to get the record. This site is such a good resource and it's free. Terrific. Some others which I have used are http://www.standard.net.au/~jwilliams/electrol.htm http://www.angelfire.com/ns/aust/ http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~surreal/NSWW/index.html#properties http://winsoft.net.au/~cobbco/Menu.html http://helplist.org/aus/index.shtml#Wales http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hcastle/grevilles/lists/abc.html http://www.lpi.nsw.gov.au/maps/pmap/ http://addison.homedns.org/projects/grevilles/atoz/namesatoz.htm http://www.judywebster.gil.com.au/other.html http://www.sl.nsw.gov.au/ www.ihr.com.au Happy surfing Jill
