Hi everyone, I am a new subscriber so please bear with me. I live in Gippsland but my maternal great grandparents George Powell Winter and Margaret Evelyn Bain were married at Wanganella Station in 1874. George Winter was the blacksmith there. Somewhere between 1881 and 1883 the family moved to Stradbroke south of Sale and ran a coaching stop there. At that time they had four children and another three were born after the move. The eldest child Herbert George Winter took up a Soldier Settlement block at Tuppal near Deniliquin following World War 1 which he named DeVille Wood. I am seeking any information about Herbert as the only thing I have so far is his death registration number and some info on his military service. Was he married, did he have children. etc. TIA Majella ------------------------------------------------------ InterNet Australis http://www.australis.com.au/
