    3. Hi List, Jill, whose e-mail is [email protected] has posted the query that appears below to GENANZ. My great aunt Ida (aged 6) was accidently killed while attending a Children's Picnic at Bourke NSW on 15th August, 1888 along with two other little children. Now, I have the "newspaper report" on the accident, but the actual first part of the newspaper name is missing, it was reported in :- " ? RIVER ADVOCATE", on Saturday August 18th, 1888. As I am attaching this report into my family records, I require the full name of the newspaper, to quote my source. I was hoping someone from Bourke area of NSW may reply and assist me (even the Newspaper itself, presuming they still have one) ========================================= I have looked at my "Union List of Newspapers held in Australian Libraries", and cannot find one that fits. I have also looked under Wilcannia etc. Now, granted it is a 1975 Union List, and old newspapers are still being discovered ..... Someone else posted to GENANZ saying it was the Darling River Advocate, but I don't know if they were just guessing. The names and dates I have listed for Bourke Newspapers are: Bourke Banner and Darling River Representative (1899?-1923) Central Australian and Bourke Telegraph 1870-1890? Western Herald est 1887 (and apparently still going) So does anyone else have any knowledge of a Darling River Advocate in 1888???
