    3. Hello Alan & Elaine Yes am aware of the Street but have made a few enquiries as to how the name came about. You maybe aware that a convict John Peisley was a residnet in the Parish of Prospect for a while. Some of John's family did travel and settle in Orange. The family have come across information on a bushranger named John Peisley I belive he killed someone I would dearly love any information on this man. So if you do come across anything please let me know. "Orange 1860 - 1960" pge 30 "John Peisley the first chairman (City Council), was born at Parramatta where his father, also John, lived for a number of years. Peisley Senior came to New South Wales in 1802 and acquired some property in Parramatta. He held an inn licence there for several years, and rented one of the Toll Gates on the Western Road between Parramatta and Emu Ford. Peisley also had an inn at Prospect known as the 'Fox Under the Hill. John Peilsey Jnr, was born in 1806 or 1807 and was living at Parramatta in 1828. he obtained a licence for the 'Coach and Horses' inn in 1838 and spent the rest of his life in Orange. He was the town's first Council Chairman and on the 8th December 1860, was elected for the constituency of Orange in the N.S.W. Parliament, but resigned his seat on 10th June 1862.
