Hi Listers, During the research into my g.grandfather John Little's movements in Western N.S.W.I checked many electoral rolls. John Little held the freehold on "Curraweena Station" between 1882 - 91. Curraweena was a property of 170,000 acres situated midway between Bourke and Cobar. The following are the names of voters registered at Curraweena for the period 1881 - 82 : John Hicks, Peter Hutton, Martin & Augustus Lucas, John McLaren, John McIntyre (held the freehold), Andrew McIntyre, James & Donald Matherson, Henry Phillips (held the leasehold of the Curraweena Hotel), Reinalt Williams. The period 1892 - 93 : Charles White, Henry Boan, Noah R. Boss, Edward B. Burke, Alexander Cox, William Deignan (leasehold Curraweena Hotel), Patrick McNamara, George & John O'Brien, Hector McNab ( resident of Curraweena Hotel). >From 1891 - 94 John Little held the freehold to "Glen - Arif" station, a property of 800,000 acres situated between Nyngan and Bourke ( near Coolibah). The voters registered at Glen Arif during 1892 - 93 were :Francis Cassidy, Henry & James Kilpatrick James L'Estrange, Thomas Leigh, Arthur & John Lefoe,Henry Mills, William Monaghan, Thomas Nevin, William Roberts, Alfred Siddons, Arthur Tindall, John Turner. Perhaps some of these names may have some historical significance to listers. Regards Lins.
