Hi Listers I wonder if anyone can help me with a place name in NSW from the 1920's ? Moombooldool. My father (Robert CLARK) emigrated to Australia in about 1926 (age 21). According to some letters he left, he disembarked in Sydney and travelled approx. 360 miles west to work on a sheep farm at Moombooldool. He later travelled to Melbourne via Bendigo so I have tried to find this place on internet mapping pages around the Deniliquin area of NSW but without success. Maybe the name was just the farm name or maybe it does not exist anymore. Does anyone have any local knowledge of this name or any old maps which might show where it was ? I would be very grateful for any information about Moombooldool. Please advise if I am on the wrong list geographically. TIA Peter Clark (Staffs UK)
