Hi List, According to my copy of "Newspapers in Australian Libraries: a union list: part 2 Australian newspapers" 3rd Edn, 1975 (but still very useful) Brewarrina The Brewarrina News started in 1878, and was still running in 1975. Copies are only held by the editor of the Brewarrina News from 1968 onwards. So I would have to say that, given the one that appears below, it may not have lasted long after 1878 and appears to have been resumed around 1958. Copies however are only held at the Mitchell Library in Sydney from 1958 and in the University of New England Library from 1968. The Brewarrina Times and Barwon River Gazette began in 1880. The National Library of NSW, Sydney (this appears to be different to the Mitchell ???) holds copies 1898-1904, Jan - Dec 1907. It was "resumed after a lapse" in 1949. I am unsure if it was still operating in 1975.
