In the NSW Pioneer Index 1788 - 1888 a Death is listed for John Branchett, age 72 died 1880 @ Parkes (6636) How can I access Church Records for Parkes? or better still is this name known? Dear Listers, My Great grandfather John Northey ran a newspaper in Brewarrina with another business partner. This was around 1890 to 1897. Apparently the premises for the newspaper were burnt down in 1896 or 7. Also there was some dispute between John Northey and his business partner. In 1895 John Northey married Ellen O'Neill in Brewarrina and they had their first son John Northey Jnr there. By 1897 they had moved to Western Australia to start over again. What I would like to find out is whether there are archives in Brewarrina or somewhere else in NSW of newspapers from the 1890s. I would like to find out more about the newspaper my great grandfather owned and what it was called. Thanks for any information you have to offer. Regards, Navi Blight
