Thank you for adding me to your list. I am searching for desc and info on Charles Duchatel & Martha Blackman/Ryan. I have a few dates etc including the Pub record of Charles at the Exchange Hotel Silverton in 1884-1888. I believe they may have been at White Cliffs or some of the related family. Happy to share what info I have. Many thanks Margaret C Toowoomba.
Hi Margaret, According to Dansie, the Exchange Hotel was a 12 roomed wood and iron structure opened by Charles F. Duchatel on 24th October,1884 on the north-east corner of Burke and Thackaringa streets. Although the hotel was closed in the early 1890s, Duchatel still owned the block in 1898. Would you like to write a short biography of Charles for inclusion under the Exchange Hotel in the NSW-W Hotel and Publican's Licenses?
