Bernice, I met a man in Canberra early this month partly to find out his knowledge about a school where I taught for 11 years before a medical retirement. The man in question is the 70 + year old son of a former principal of my former school.Much of our discussion was about Wongarbon School rather than Erina Heights which I understand his father was largely instrumental in getting going or at least getting on the straight and narrow.If you should have any references to Mr Cleaver at Wongarbon about 60 or more years back then I would welcome them . I will then pass them on Mr Cleaver jnr in Canberra partly as a way of thanking him for his time and for donating some photos to my former school. I heard stories about Wongarbon such as Mr Cleaver owned a car but the only policeman owned a horse. When the policeman had to go to outlying properties to identity bodies etc then he called on the teacher to drive him and act as witness. I'm assuming that Wongarbon is the place just outside Dubbo.
