Hello Listers, Some newly found rellies and I are trying to find where YUBERGUNDRY and COOMBERGUNDRY would have been in 1869, my Great Uncle died at YUBERGUNDRY 11th March 1869 and was buried at COOMBERGUNDRY 13th March 1869, the online records show his death as being registered in Forbes, my newly found rellies are the Great Grand children of this chap, so far we haven't had any luck finding these places through The Dubbo Museum, Forbes Historical Society, Forbes Shire Council, Coonabaraban Council, B D M,Geographical names board of NSW and Australia, Lands Dept NSW,State Library NSW, Recordings NSW,Coolah Shire Council, Cowra Shire Council & Historical society,Lachlan Shire Council, National Library Canberra map room, I have recently written to the Land Newspaper in a letter to the editor. So far zero results. So you can see that the others have been really putting in time trying to find these places, where should we look next? How difficult id it to obtain Parrish maps? Some kind person sent me a Parrish Map of the Bourke area, unfortunately I had a computer crash and lost it. What would have been the Parrish that covered Forbes and The Lachlan? Hoping against hope that someone out there will know and be kind enough to help. Thank you, Susan Jeffery ex Bourkite living in Lismore where it is too humid to contemplate.
