The names you have are only a phonetic attempt to write down what the original word sounded like by someone who was definitely not skilled in anthropology and who spoke with a very, very different accent to the one you use now. My ancestor who also came from the Cowra - Forbes area has 3 relevant certificates but with three different spelling variations of Merriganowrie ! May I suggest too, that you put your request out to a much wider audience on GENANZ-L@rootsweb.com Ask for possible spelling variations and possible locations.
