According to Dansie: The licensee for the Yanco Glen Hotel was Morgan EVANS 1912-1916. It was a building of galvanised iron and wooden battens with matchboard linings, situated near Yancannia Creek 30km from Broken Hill. The hotel also functioned as a telephone office, "Kayoyarra", from 1917. 1916-1921 Richard James ROWE 1921-1922 John SWANSON 1922-1923 William John BAKER etc until the hotel burnt down on 9th April 1984. After trading from temporary premises it closed down in May 1989. Dansie's wonderful work on the hotels of the West is unpublished, but a copy of it can be seen at the Broken Hill Library (not available for inter-library loan).
