I am sorry this is such a late reply, but I just found this in the book 'Bushman of the Great Annabranch' by Maxine Withers page 77. 'There was a washpool at Anabranch Station and one of four graves near the old wool shed is that of a thirty year old wool washer, Francis Friell, who died of consumption on 30th August 1874.' A Friell family also lived in the Pooncarie district. The Crozier Family owned several stations in the West Darling- Riverina area up until 1984, I am not sure if there are any still on the land now. I left the area about that time. billsymo@bigpond.net.au www.users.bigpond.com/bill_symo.htm ----- Original Message ----- From: "MURIEL REGNAUD" <murielregnaud@ozemail.com.au> To: <AUS-NSW-WEST-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, October 01, 2004 7:46 AM Subject: Re: [NSW-W] RE: Morna >Thanks Terry, I guess my next move is to find any living members of the >Nichol or Crozier families. There is a death registered in 1894 for a James Friell 14457/1894 FRIELL JAMES UNKNOWN UNKNOWN WENTWORTH but it appears his parents were unknown. If you order a copy of the death certificate it may give you more details of who made the death notification etc. Karen

----- Original Message ----- From: "Jenni Kay" > Would you mind please chekcing the phone book for the Cobar area for Did you realise that you can check the phone book online at http://www.whitepages.com.au/wp/resSearch.jhtml You can do it with blank fields eg just the surname and Cobar as the town. It will come up with any people with that surname in the general area, not just Cobar. Similarly you can do a wild card search providing you give the surname at least 3 letters. For example Mar* will give you all names that start with Mar in the general area (good if spellings may vary). That usually doesn't work in a metropolitan area search as there are too many results but it works very well for regional areas. I wanted to know who the current owners of a specific property were and found it this way - took hours with all the variations, but I got my answer :-)) Karen

I've just received a death certificate for my ancestor Ann King and it gives her place of death and burial as Redbank in 1867.
