Dear Listers I read your comments with interest from far-off England. Jenni's visit to the UK may have left her in awe of our history and how it's presented, but we are suffering the same as you from 'do-gooders' and/or politicians who see their idea of progress as something better than our heritage. We must learn from history and preserve the culture of our homelands, respecting those who went before us and whatever small part they played. I don't know anything about Lennox Bridge, but it sounds like a good cause to me, so more power to your elbow!
