The Mormons do not own ancestry, it is owned by a private equity company called Spectrum Equity. You may be thinking of familysearch.org which is owned by the Church of LDS. Thanks for clearing that up. I thought that was the case. I think it is a wonderful resource, especially for us country people. In the past I have had to spend $27 return on the train to Sydney to end up with limited time to queue to look at info. I still have the option to do that when I wish but it's just wondeful to be able to acess more and more from home and much cheaper in the long run. Yes, you do have to check the info but hasn't that always been the golden rule?
