In my research of Nurse Elvy BROWN: Last night: I stumbled across an article in the SMH dated 28 Apr 1972 re a "Nurse Elvy BROWN", wherein it states that she turned 60 on this day and that she had been "Abandoned in a Newcastle Street at the age of three". I only ever knew my BROWN as "Nurse BROWN" and believe that the above mentioned woman to be my Nurse BROWN. In 1972; she was "Seriously ill", but cannot find a Death or Burial for her?
Good afternoon Lorette: Yes; it would seem you've found the missing "Nurse Elvy BROWN" who did indeed; live in the Redfern area for some years and I thank you ever so very much for this great find, as I've wondered what happened to her since I lived with her quite some years back now. It explains what happened to her and where her final resting place is. Thank you ever so very much.
