I prefer the "OLD" layout especially the ANCESTRAL FILE option which allowed us to search longago Patron Submitted trees. Alistair

    3. I certainly got more "hits" on the old site, but will persevere with the new one. It is a shame about losing the Ancestral File. WHOOPS I see that the current layout has changed yet again------- I just a moment ago keyed in my father's full name and got a perfect match of ancestors back to 1800s. So may I ask All to help with this target person: I'd like to track descendants of: Arthur Cuthbert Edwards bn abt 1890 who retired when residing in Midson Rd Eastwood NSW; and track descendants of Lionel Virgo Haynes bn abt 1925 he lived in French's Forest NSW. 3. i Mary & Alistair Thank you for replying to my call for Help. Apparently the old site has gone forever. Why couldn't it have been kept as an option?? I can use the new FamilySearch but it takes a lot longer to scroll through masses of information that is irrelevant to my input query and there is there is much information which I gained in the past, that is no longer available. Where has it gone?? I hate the new cool site!!!! Verna
