I was a DPS member c. 1993. For me those days were blessed with FIDONET free communications. No colours on screen, no charges! or, very cheap rates, no porn, no Nigerian Letters. Junk mail only rarely. The ISPs were called NODES and some 60,000 plus volunteers around the world handled our <netmail> on their home desktop. Thus I could message rellies overseas much faster than by airmail. Blessed are the Volunteers. A dying race!! it seems......
