Hello, I am looking to make contact with descendants of the Stanner family. James Stanner was for many years the Post Master at Hunters Hill post office. Researching the Stanner family. They arrived in Australia from Ramsgate Kent on the Ascendant in 1855, The arrival records show Elizabeth 37, James 34, James W 12, Sarah A 9 Stephen 6. Rosa 3 and an infant male born on the voyage. Elizabeth went on to have a Alfred in 1858 and Esther in 1860. Elizabeth died in 1882 Hunters Hill and James died 1884 Camperdown Newtown. James William Married Ellen Curtis in 1865. They had Kate 1866,Mary 1868,Agnes 1870,Mary Josephine 1872 died 1885,Francis James 1874,Joseph 1877,Arthur Michael 1880. James William died in 1903 in St Leonard's I have no further information. Sarah Anne married Paul McKenzie in 1876, This is my line I have some information on them. As always any more would be gratefully received. I have a number of questions to be answered about this branch of the family. Stephen married Ellen Hourn 17 May 1876, They had a daughter in 1880 Rosa married William Fox in 1879. They had William 1889 and Harold 1894 I have no further information. Esther Adelaide Married Frederick James Oulds 10 July 1882 I have no further information. I have no information on the other children, the infant male born on the voyage remains nameless and Alfred I have no information on.
