Fellow listers may recall some time back now, I posted a request for information as to an old family photo showing an old brick home, believed Sydney during the 2nd WW; above the front door was a sign I couldn't quite read other than the word WARDEN thereon, above which were 3 words; the centre one I believed to be Emergency? Whilst visiting a 2nd hand shop recently; I saw 2 "NES" (National Emergency Services - New South Wales - WARDEN) badges and was quite convinced that I had found that for which long I had sought. Prior to that; I had written to the "Seniors Magazine"; asking their help and have just received a reply back that indeed; the sign I was seeking information about was: "National Emergency Services - WARDEN"; they attaching a photo of; for which I was ever so very grateful. I though perhaps there may be fellow listers who may be interested in the above or revive old memories of? Kindest regards; Robert KEMSLEY Australia
