    3. Thank you Di, for managing to think more laterally than I had! Of course it is perfectly logical that Madeline might have married again and looking for death records for Madeline Baxter has got me nowhere! I am absolutely delighted!!! And on my first excursion on the list too! Thanks Di. Best wishes Lyn ----- Original Message ----- From: Diane Cole To: lmealey@bigpond.com Sent: Monday, September 25, 2006 8:49 PM Subject: Madeline Scard Hi Lyn I found this entry in the death indexes, which looks like your Madeline 380/1931 NASH MADELINE (-SCARD) 76 YRS STATE HOSP AUBURN and this is the marriage. 2775/1917 NASH RICHARD BAXTER MADELINE PADDINGTON Lots of people from all over Sydney seemed to have ended up at the Auburn State Hospital. Even my husbands great-grandfather whose family home was at Manly. THere were a couple of possible Henry Baxters who died 1912-1916, none at Balmain, but possibly he was in hospital in either Sydney or Burwood. Madeline's death certificate may tell you where and when she and Henry were married, depending on who registered the death. It obviously does not give her parents names, as they are not listed in the index. The second marriage certificate should tell you more about Richard Nash too. Hope this helps some. Diane
