Hi Dot, So your Abrahams was a soldier in WW1? A quick check shows there were 22 Aussie soldiers in WW1 with the surname of Abrahams. He was your mum-in-laws father, doesn't she or one of her siblings have a birth certificate or something similar that gives her father's name? What about Rose's death certificate? Who was the informant? Did they list the name of her first husband?
