    3. I am looking for my cousin Herbert Cameron WARD b. 17th January 1905 in Sturminster Newton, Dorset UK. He was brought here by Dr. Barnardo's Homes in 1922 on board the SS Ballarat. His mother was Bessie Ward nee Fudge (my grandfather's sister). Herbert's last known address was C/- Mr. Malone, Tumut Plains, Tumut. NSW and that was in 1930. I have looked for a marriage and a death in NSW and have found neither. Can someone help please. Thank you. Hilda Cooper nee FUDGE.

    3. Hilda I looked at the Victorian Marriages and couldn't find until any name until 1942. I even tried putting *ard for a surname and *udge just in case he changed his name to his mothers. I then tried the Victorian Inquest Cd but again no luck. I then tried the same for the NSW Indexes and also looked in the Ryerson Index on line and did the same, but could not find him. Have you tried looking at the Electoral roll for Tumut for 1930 and then tried coming forward? Sorry I could not help any more. Regards Joy Light

    3. Thanks Rob, Herbert is the only one I am desperate to find. His sister is 94 and lives in the UK and I am trying to find out what happened to him before it is 'too late'. I have sent off an email to Tumut FHG in the hope that they will respond. Although looking through BMD'S for NSW yet again......I have found a Herbert Bertram WARD married Olga Elizabeth GUY in Leeton in 1951. That's down that way. I thought it was rather strange that the family knew him as Herbert and then they were told that his name was Bertram and this guy is Herbert Bertram WARD. IF it was my Herbert it would mean that he would have been 45 when he married. Possible, I suppose. I am now waiting on instructions from the UK as to what they want me to do next. Hilda, Sydney.
