Hi all, Sorry about the saga,and double posting, If there is anyone on this list that can help me with this family it would be much appreciated, Catherine McGowan Married Henry Hunt 29th January 1857 Patterson N.S.W., No parents to either listed, One of the children to this marriage from birth certificate) Born 1876 Coryvale Father, Henry Hunt Farmer Age 44 Born Stourpain,Dorset,England Mother, Catherine McGowan Age 38 Born Norfolk, England Catherine Died 17th July 1919 at Patterson N.S.W Her death certificate states Daughter of Hugh McGowan and Mary Maxwell, 82 years of age Born Norfolk Island, Had been in N.S.W 66 Years was aged 19 at marriage to Henry Hunt, 10 living children at the time of her death, informant was her son-in-law Walter Martin, I cant seem to find any record of a child Catherine born to Hugh and Mary, Or any information on Hugh McGowan who was said to be a "Solider" on Norfolk Island... apparently there was a Constable Hugh McGowan at Patterson N.S.W.... thanks for your time, cheers Liz Norfolk Island
