Hi Joan, I gave the date in my first message. It was in 1883. My ggrandmother died and the death certificate says "Operation Collapse" and the address was only Marrickville Road, Marrickville. I don't know what other hospitals were operating in those days. Clara Jane Grant had a baby 4 months before she died and the baby Eva Emily died at 10 weeks, 4 weeks before her mother. I really don't want to pay money for the baby's death certificate. I'm not sure it will give me any additional information. Though I suspect in those days babies were born at home, but because the death certificate for Clara Jane says "operation" it may have been in a hospital.
