Alexander Brodie Spark's house is on the south bank of Cooks River, and west of the highway. With today's street numbers 667 would be near St Peters station, probably opposite the remains of brickworks in Sydney Park. The name changes just north or south of St Peters station from King St to Princes Highway. In the 1880s the south part was Cook's River road. Earlier the whole of King St and the highway was known as Bullanaming road. King St running down to St Peters station is a long row of victorian & early 1900 shops, and terrace houses converted to shops, some replaced with modern shops of the 1960s. Odd numbers are on the west side. After King St there are converted terraces, then larger 1900s factories & warehouses where earlier buildings were demolished. I don't know if the street numbers have been changed since the 1950s. In that area there has been a fair bit of reallocation to different councils - numbers as well as the street name might have changed. Have you checked Sands directories? 3. 667 King St, St Peters is situated between Goodsell St and May St, St Peters, on the western side opposite Sydney Park. There are two two-storeyed houses, between a factory and a row of shops. One of those houses would be 667. There is a brothel called Amore in one of the shops and it is 673 King St. St Peters. The confusion is that King St is Newtown and it continues for two blocks into St Peters before changing name to Princes Highway which starts at May St and goes southwards. The restaurant on the corner of May St is 1 Princes Highway, St Peters.
