Good afternoon, I'm looking for listers with Matheson, Keating or Taylor connections in the Bellingen and Sydney regions. My Isabella Matheson (daugher of John Matheson and Elizabeth Behan) married Jim Taylor of Bellingen in 1919.). Isabella, born in Beechwood in 1878, d. of John Matheson and Elizabeth Behan, had previously produced one son Benedict Matheson (1901-1911 father unknown) and my grandfather John Keating b 15 July 1906 whose birth does not appear in the BDM. My grandfather's marriage certificate states that his father was a Walter Keating. (Walters's daughter Eileen married a Hatton hence the other listing). Those who know the family will know why this declaration on the marriage certificate is a contraversial statement and if true points to a delicate family matter. Is there anyone who can assist with this mystery? According to a dear relative Clare Snowden the old people all knew who my grandfather's father was but didn't talk about "family business" to the younger generation.
