    3. Hi Patsy, Marrickville is an old inner Sydney suburb. It is very Cosmopolitan now. If you go into Google and type local newspapers Marrickville it only comes up with 3. You might also go into Google and type Cumberland Newspapers and it might give you the areas that it covers. It has the monopoly on most of the areas. Sorry I can't be of more help. Go into White Pages NSW and find their name, address, phone no. email address etc. Hilda Cooper, Sydney. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Patsy McMillan" <patsym@inet.net.nz> To: <aus-nsw-sydney@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, February 15, 2007 6:55 AM Subject: [ANS] newspaper/KERR family > hi Listers > > If you were living in the Marrickville area what newspaper would be > there please? 3. Dear Patsy, While there are probably a couple of local newspapers in Marrickville, the main paper for Death Notices is the Sydney Morning Herald and the Dead Persons Society have indexed that paper from 1971 to present. Type in "The Ryerson Index" at your search engine. Hannanprint in Bourke Road ALEXANDRIA print one paper which I think is called the Inner West News. Sincerely,Bill > hi Listers > > If you were living in the Marrickville area what newspaper would be > there please? Do they have a local paper at all does anyone know?

    3. Hi Bill While talking of local newspapers in Marrickville, I wonder if you know what local newspaper might have been operating in 1914. Any assistance would be appreciated.
