Train travel has always been interesting. I can remember the old "Dog Boxes" also being used on the North West Mail and the like. The "Spirit of Progress" was Blue and ran from Sydney as a second division of the "Southern Aurora". I think you would find that the "Spirit of Progress" was a Victorian train that ran from Melbourne to Albury when there were 2 different railway gauges, and was converted to the NSW standard gauge when the line went through in the early 60s.
