Hi I am new to this list and I am trying to find out about Matthew John SULLIVAN. In 1917 he married Annie M FAUNT and was living in Randwick. In 1916 his step son Thomas Joseph FAUNT enlisted in WW1 and gave Mathew's address as Oberon St, Randwick. Annie FAUNT nee COLLINS had at least 4 children before marrying Matthew SULLIVAN in 1917. They were Henry FAUNT b1896, Thomas Joseph FAUNT b1899 Cootamundra NSW, Caroline FAUNT b1902 Cootamundra, Rose K FAUNT b1905 Sydney and sometime after 1905 a daughter Noreen. Annie SULLIVAN nee FAUNT nee COLLINS died in 1918 and was buried in the Church of England Cemetery Randwick. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated. Regards Dianne Myers
Dear Dianne, In the Sands Directory of Sydney Residents you will find a better location of where they lived in Oberon Street. I grew up near there and a generation or so later than the period you are talking about there were people named FAINT in Rainbow Street, between Avoca and Canberra Streets, being parallel to Oberon Street. Sincerely,Bill > > Hi > I am new to this list and I am trying to find out about Matthew John > SULLIVAN. In 1917 he married Annie M FAUNT and was living in Randwick. In
