Searching for information re. Thomas Sayer CARTER and his family, especially of his wife Harriet (nee NEWTON). Thomas and Harriet were married in Bristol in 1846 and came to Australia sometime after 1851 with two children. Thomas was a watchmaker and lived at Mudgee in the 1850's. He may have moved to Sydney in the 1860's. Thomas died in the 1880's. Harriet Carter's mother was my great, great grandmother (Rachel NEWTON). Allan Jamieson Burnie, Tasmania
