Hello all, How is this for a long horizontal relationship. I don't know what else to call it. Joseph North b. 1825 in London, married Sarah Frances Scoffin, born 1855 in Lincolnshire, who subsequently married George N. Lamb, b. 1869 Boston, Mass, who then lived in a de facto marriage with Mollie Olsen, born Sydney 1895, died 1948, California. There is a 123 year spread between the birth of Joseph and the death of Mollie. All this because Sarah Scoffin married firstly a man 30 years her senior, and then one 14 years her junior! Not to be outdone, her second husband George, having married a woman 14 years his senior, then married one 25 years his junior. What a world of difference in lifestyles and prevailing attitudes there must have been over that time frame. Louise Reynolds Melbourne
