Am index up to 1833 is held at the State Library of Victoria but no indexed listing seems to be available after that date. It depends on what state and where you are interested. There is a lot of information on Randwick Destitute Children Home on the nsw state records. I also have a book named '.....vivious and rebellious'? - Life at the Male Orphans School, Sydney and Liverpool, 1819 - 1850. Fairfiled City Museum and Gallery put it together.
