I am searching for information on Andrew OLSEN, died in the Coast Hospital, Little Bay on 31 December 1898, Age 41. He was born in Hillsenberg Sweden c. 1857, married in Brisbane in 1886 to Ellen Callighan. They had 3 children living in 1898, Charles 10, Michael 8 and Catherine 4. Andrew's occupation is listed as seaman. I had another Andrew Olsen and wife Britta Marie also living at Little Bay. Britta died in the Coast Hospital Little Bay in 1899. I am trying to establish if there was a relationship between the two families. Jean Harm GYMPIE QLD harmrj@spiderweb.com.au

Dear Jean, There is an index, I think at the Society of Australian Genealogists in SYDNEY, from a Cemetery within the grounds of the Coast Hospital, which later became Prince Henry Hospital, and has now been bulldozed and sold by our money hungry government for residential development. Part of the hospital was for infectious diseases, and it appears they buried them on site. Just might be worth a look.
