    3. Greetings Thank you for the replies. Its always hard to know if its best to keep the questions short or go for the long winded story. I have a brother of my GG Grandfather who was born in Melbourne in 1848 and I believe he died in Tamworth in 1938. Will purchase a certificate in the first instance to make sure its him. The death certificate may reveal more details, if known to the informant. The NSW index also turns up two marriages in the appropriate years and some likely births. The most likely marriage gave the district as Wellingrove, and I suspected that it may have included the Tamworth area. Glenn Innes isn't all that far away so that one looks like a good bet for starters. Having said that there is a more remote chance that he may have married in Vic, as there is a much later one there. The thought was that Wellingrove was an like an electoral district, or a county. I am not familiar with NSW geography. Just trying to avoid buying too many dud certificates. Thanks for the help. Regards Graham Melbourne. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Noel Wilkinson" <jacwil@westnet.com.au> To: <aus-nsw-sydney@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, April 15, 2007 10:27 AM Subject: [ANS] WELLINGROVE > Hi Graham > > Wellingrove is near Glen Innes. It is NW of Glen Innes, the turn off to there is north on the road from GI to Inverell. I have had a few certificate entries for Wellingrove for people living in the Glen Innes area. Hope this helps. > > Noel > Please consider you emails subject line .
