Hi Phillipa There are documents relating Lazarus Pura (a Taylor who died near Cradle Mountain in 1949 described as a Russian Jew) available at the National Archives. At least two document are available on line including his naturalization documents, and a document that seems to be some sort of security document that includes an extract from the SMH realting to his death. He was a member of the Communist Party. Just do a search on his name.
