Hi Listers I seem at a brick wall, and am rather reluctant to purchase certificates at this stage as this is not my own personal family. So thought someone may be able to help via early Electoral look ups etc. please. I am trying to track the birth of a EDWARD RILEY. He married in 1893 at Grafton to an Elizabeth Jane White (usually known as Jane) and he died 1928 at Casino and the BMD indexes say his parents were a John and Ellen Riley. Jane survived him for many years and she died in 1969 and was buried with him at Casino. This Edward's parents John and Ellen Riley also seem rather elusive to say the least and so my thoughts are that they might be overseas and this Edward has emigrated from somewhere, but so far I can find nothing to prove my thoughts. Does this sound familiar to anyone's research out there? If so I would love to hear from you.
