    3. Dear Sylvia, You may find some additional information on www.naa.gov.au which is the National Archives website? SYDNEY was named after Lord SYDNEY around convict transportation time. He is too late for the Sands Directory of Sydney Residents which ceased their near annual publication in 1932-3. To find him in Electoral Rolls back in those times is difficult as there are many Divisions and Sub-Divisions of those Divisions of each Electoral District. Have you looked for a death on the NSW Birth, Death and Marriage site? If not there, have you looked on www.ryersonindex.org for a death past their cutoff date? Your email address indicates you are not local, and in cases like that when you sign off, it often pays dividends to also put your location, and some listers try harder to help when they know it is not a local. His occupation a carpenter and hers a music teacher. www.nswbdn.com.au There is a Noel Pickering marrying Hilda Howes in Inverell in 1949. 13587/1949 i hope this helps Michelle Bateau Bay > > >> I am searching for the family of my Uncle Noel Pickering who emigrated to >> Australia, arriving in Sidney January 1st 1947 on the Largs Bay ship.
