    3. Dear Peter, Did you check the same paper, or that of a day or two before for a Death Notice, and Funeral Notice? Death and Funeral Notices in those times were fairly brief, often only a Funeral Notice to save on costs. At State Records, Kingswood there are Inquest files (if they "survived"). One of those will give you all statements from all witnesses, reports of Post Mortem, and any other reports. Finally the finding of the Coroner. Have a look at www.records.nsw.gov.au and look for Archives in Brief No. 4 which deals with Inquests. There are a couple of agents who will look for this file for you for what is said to be a reasonable fee. Sincerely, Bill > > I have searched the newspapers nla gov au database and have come across > this > notice. > >>From the Sydney Morning Herald dated 18 May 1909 > > Woollahra Residents Death. > > Edward Mowbray, Lately living a Edgecliff Rd Woolahra, > Died at Sydney Hospital last night under circumstances > which deemed advisable to report to the Coroner.
