Lyn, In addition to the entry in Blue Mountains Pioneer Register pre 1920, Ben is featured in a book by Jim Smith called The Last of the Cox's River Men - Ben Esgate published in 2006. Jim's book are limited editions and would be sold out, but as it has an ISBN copies would be in the National Library, Canberra as well as the State/Mitchell in Sydney if you can't find one anywhere else. Ben played a significant role in the V.D.C. in the upper Blue Mountains in WW2.
