    3. Bob, What dates are you looking for? You can search the NSW BDM index on-line http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/ it's free to search and you can order certificates from here. Births can be searched 1788-1910, deaths 1788-1980, marriages 1788-1960. Pre-1856 is church registers - baptisms, marriages, burials - but they contain little information. Many of these records have been filmed. Post 1856 it's civil registration - births, marriages, deaths - some parish registers have been filmed. All films available locally - unfortunately none is on-line. You can order the relevant certificate on-line from the registry or more cheaply via a transcription agent - details on the website homepage. Small amendment to spelling of your places of interest: Penrith; Roc*k*dale; Waterloo; Willou*gh*by. I would like to ask if it is possable to research parish records in Australia? I have people born in Penrith, Rochdale, Waterloo and Willouby and would like to search for baptismal infrmation if possable. Any help would be appreciated. > > Bob > > > >
