Hi Everyone I'm hoping that someone out there is researching this family:- CHARLES SMITH and ELIZA GREER descendants Charles SMITH was born in Wheeo in NSW in 1850 the son of George SMITH and Elizabeth BOUGHTON Eliza GREER was born in Hobart Tasmania in 1858 the daughter of James GREER and Mary BRITCLIFFE. Eliza first married a man by the name of John GREEN in Forbes in 1875, John died not long after this and Eliza met Charles Smith with whom she had the following children:- Charles and Eliza married on the 24th of October 1891 in Orange James David B 1879 in Wellington M Francesca PAVLICEVICH in 1909 Waterloo NSW D 9TH of January 1927 C 3 Francesca. M, Letitia. A, Frederick Adelia Ellen B 1881 in Dubbo M D ? C Cecilia Bertha B 1881 in Dubbo M Herbert Adam BRINDLE D 27th October 1920 buried at Rookwood with Eliza (mother) C 1 son Arthur married Edna Ayrton in Cessnock Rose Mary B 1882 in Dubbo D 1886 in Carcoar Frederick B 1886 in Carcoar M Claire ABBERTON D 16th April 1968 Lidcombe C 2 children James Frederick and Eileen Ethel M B 1888 in Blayney (I have just ordered this certificate to see if she is Charles and Eliza's daughter) Tressie B 1892 in Orange M Arthur WILLSMORE in 1912/died 1937 and George DAVIS in 1943 D 23rd July 1979 C 1 daughter Gloria (married Eddie ??) Had three children Garnet, Kay and Gregory, one Grandchild Gary * Note On Tressies death certificate it says her daughter is from the marriage to Arthur Willsmore and Gloria is aged 52 on her mothers death certificate in 1979 so born around 1927. Don't know if she may be adopted??? Tressies Residence was at 56 Ryrie road, Earlwood in 1979.
