I am trying to gather information on Robert Hugh MONTEITH who was buried at Macquarie Park Cemetery on 30 April 1976. I am piecing together information on descendants of my great grandmother's brother Hugh Monteith who emigrated to South America. From clues sent to me by a relative - names in photos, old address books etc - I believe that this Robert Hugh Monteith may be one of his grandsons, however before I go to the expense of purchasing a certificate I would like to obtain further details. For instance, would someone on the list be able to locate a death notice or obituary? Or perhaps further details from the headstone? Information such as his age at the time of death, address in Sydney etc would be very helpful to me in strengthening the possibility that I have the right person. Unfortunately my genealogy skills honed through ten years of passionate research do not extend to South America, and I have to resort to trying to trace the family's movements to other places. Thanks in advance for any help offered. Regards Catherine Fitchett Christchurch, New Zealand
