Hi Dianna The cut off date for Probate Packets held out at Kingswood was about 1965. Am sure they dont have Wills yet for 1979 You would need to get via the Probate Division of the NSW Supreme Court . Cost was very approx $50 Bye MargM Sydney List Admin

    3. Dear Marg, The last Probate Packet number held by State Records for public release is No. 598443 in Series 4. There have been no further releases for a number of years now. 3. HI Bill I will contact the Supreme Court and see what they say, It seems a bit much $50.00 for a will but will see what I can do, may be the only way to further my research many thanks for your advice. Kind regards Dianna

    3. There are will books out at Kingswood....a well kept secret.....if you have the probate number which is available up to about 1980 you can often get the will. Not the Probate just the will. Just fill out the form with the probate number on it and mark it "will book" and they will check it for you to see if there is a will that is available to have a look at. I only found this out last month.. Kaye www.teapotgenealogy.com ----- Original Message -----

    3. Hi Kaye Thanks for that I've been told that they are only available at Kingswood up until the mid 1960's, I've just sent an email to Kingswood to see if they have the 1979 one I'm after, that will make things a lot easier as it does cost $52.00 at the Supreme court. Many thanks dianna

    3. Dear Marg, On www.records.nsw.gov.au Archives in Brief 119 deals with how to find Deceased Estates and Probate Packets. Bottom of first page, last item on right mentions Will Books.
